iCare Medical IC20 ActiveX™ Homecare Foam Mattress

IC20 Medium Mattress – 8” Depth for Balanced Comfort and Support

The IC20 is our most popular mattress, featuring an 8” depth and a medium feel that strikes the ideal balance between softness and support. Designed for all-around comfort, it suits a wide range of users and is often the preferred choice for both homecare and clinical settings.

The iCare Medical IC20 ActiveX™ Homecare Foam Mattress features purple icons and captions for ActiveX™ foam, anti-slip base, pressure care, waterproof cover compatibility, profiling bed attachment, flip-free design, 20+ waterlow rating, and zip-off covers.

Pressure Care Functionality

The IC20 mattress is heat- and pressure-sensitive, adapting to the body’s natural response. As pressure points develop and generate heat, the ActiveX™ foam softens in those areas, reducing localized pressure and promoting healthy blood flow. This responsive design helps minimize the risk of pressure injuries while ensuring lasting comfort throughout the night.

Pressure Care Rating

  • Engineered for pressure redistribution with an average peak pressure below 24 mmHg

  • Suitable for users with low to moderate pressure risk

  • For higher-risk clients, iCare Zerotec covers are recommended for enhanced protection

iCare’s pressure care ratings are based on:

  • Average peak pressure measurements

  • Clinical case studies and therapist recommendations

  • Industry comparisons and the Waterlow scale

Best Practice: For high-risk clients, monitor pressure points daily over a 5-day period to assess the effectiveness of the surface.

ActiveX™ Material

ActiveX™ is a premium-grade elastic foam specifically designed for pressure redistribution. It is temperature-responsive, softening in areas of increased heat—such as around inflamed or high-pressure points. This adaptive behavior allows the material to reduce pressure by contouring to the body, promoting healthy blood circulation and enhancing overall comfort for users at risk of pressure injuries.
